President’s Comments: H.L. Marks

President Marks shared the Thank You letter from Kelly Griffith, NoVA Lt. Governor 2013-204, for her scholarship.

H. L. Marks reported the following accomplishments for 2012-2013:
1. Approved new logo thanks to the hard work of Jennifer Wolff.
2. Approved new website with complete transparency.
3. Created a Member Benefits Committee
4. Approved Bylaw amendments which were sent to Kiwanis International.

President Marks thanked Marion Allen, Stan Miller , Bob Cassada and Charlie Adams for their hard work.

In his opinion, we should consider two term limits for Directors. This would bring new members with fresh ideas to the Board. Also, go to a one year term as President. This would give more Directors the opportunity to serve as President.

President Marks is hoping by next term we have decided how to best spend our money.
There being no further business to come before the Board, President H.L. Marks adjourned the meeting. The next Board meeting will be on November 9, 2013 at the Fredericksburg Hospitality House at 10:00 AM in the Patrick Henry Room.

Respectfully submitted,
Charles Adams, Executive Secretary
Capital District Kiwanis Foundation
