New Business
President Boswell reports in the Capital Kiwanian  every issue what the Foundation does.   The  belief of many is that we only support the hospitals. We do a lot more than that including support of the SLP’s, scholarships, grants and teenager of the year.  Many clubs think the Foundation has almost one million dollars so why should they contribute when their funds are low.  Some of these funds are permanently restricted and some partially restricted as far as their use. The CDKF needs club support to continue to do the things listed above that we do.
Grant Requests need to be submitted by email to Charles Adams at by March 15, 2017.

Tablet of Honor- A motion was made by David Lurie and seconded by Jon Rife to present a Tablet of Honor to Bob Cressy for his years of service to the Foundation.  Motion Passed.

Playscape Playground- Dale Collins, Past District Trustee and member of the Elkton Kiwanis Club thanked the foundation for its generous to the Elkton Club to help build the Fair Hill Nature Center Playground for use by students in Cecil County,MD public schools. Dale said without the help of the foundation the playground would not have been possible and it will serve thousands of students and resident s for years to come.

There being no further business, the meeting was adjourned. The next Board meeting will be on March 17, 2017 at the District Convention in Baltimore.

Respectfully submitted,
Charles P. Adams, Executive Secretary
